In 2001 I fulfilled a boyhood dream and that was to become a real Cavalryman. I picked up riding at a late age but the more I spent time with horses the more I felt at home. Thanks to my instructor Laura Mancini I was able to do the things I never thought imaginable. One of these was to conduct Mounted Skills at Arms and in 2002 and 2003 I was able to perform a swordsmanship demonstration at the Lake of Two Mountains Hunt’s “Hunter Trials”. Mounted Arms is a skill that is not common to see in Canada and I am proud to be one of the few people who do it.
