I cannot say that poutine is my favourite food but whenever I host friends from out of town one of the first things I do is introduce them to the world famed Poutine. Once they have filled their stomachs with Montreal fries, Gravy and rich Kurd cheese; I then take them on a tour of my beautiful city. I actually call it a “running tour” because they normally only have one day to explore the city. I know, I know, how can you explore this city in one day? Simple, you need a fast car and a tour guide who knows where the major sites are. Don’t worry Mr. Mayor, when it comes to tourism, I’m doing my part. I have had the opportunity to visit many cities in my life but none come close to Montreal. I don’t want to sound conceited but ask any Montrealer and they will agree with me. I lived the first five years of my life in Gimli Manitoba but Montreal is my home. I have enjoyed many special moments in this city. As a proud member of a pipe band and Officer of the Canadian Forces, I have enjoyed the true spirit and Joie de Vivre of Montrealers. Click here to see images of "My City", Montreal.
